
During the last 25 years, the office has maintained a solid presence in the national financial media, representing the Mexican Association of Stock Market Intermediates (AMIB), medium that joins the nation's stock markets, the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), and its branches.
This group includes banks (private and development), financial companies, the Retirement Fund Administrators (AFORES), Retirement Fund Investment Society (SIEFORES), rental services, insurance companies, currency exchange companies, Limited Object Financial Societies (SOFOLES) and outsourcing.
The firm has participated as an assistant to the Bank of Mexico and the Banking Fund for the Protection of Savings (FOBAPROA), now the Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings (IPABE) focusing on the attention and solution of all labor problems that emerge from the intervention of several companies controlled by this firm.
We have been one of the most active offices in Mexico dealing with main processes like nationalization and privatization. Among these are the Bank's nationalization in 1982 and later its privatization, the sale of the Mexican phone company Teléfonos de México S.A. de C.V. and its branches. We were also present in the train company Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México's privatization along with the Ferrocarril Mexicano, Ferrocarril del Sureste and the Valle de México terminal.
The firm has been an advisor to the Department of Energy, Pemex Petrochemicals, and has participated in the creation of companies of major state participation, as well as branches of Pemex-Petrochemicals.
Another process was the privatization of the Comisión Federal de Electricidad and Comisión de Luz y Fuerza, S.A., along with the Trust for the Restructuration and Modernization of the Electric Sector in Mexico (FIELEC).
The firm has vast experience with liquidation processes among public and private sectors. One of the last cases was the highway rescue, where BANOBRAS was given assessment and also to Caminos y Puentes Federales de Ingresos y Servicios Conexos, on the national liquidation project of all the personnel that offered services at the many highway concession operators. We also participated in the termination of a Working Collective Contract with top unions.
We were part of the liquidation process of National Azucarera Financial, S.N.C., designing the strategy and developing the working plan to fulfill the liquidation of unionized personnel liquidation as well as trustworthy personnel. We also collaborated on the termination of the Working Collective Contract, and the liquidation, extinction, and cancellation of the union registry.
Francisco Sánchez y García Asociados, S.C. participated in the payment of retired personnel of the National Rural Credit Bank, of the union employees and the termination of the Working Collective Contracts, as well as the liquidation, extinction, and cancellation of the union registry at Banca Cremi, Banco de Oriente, Banco Obrero and Banca Unión, as well as the personnel liquidation and the collective contracts of several insurance companies, financial companies, stock markets, intervening with the federal government, FOBAPROA, and IPAB.
In the private sector we have participated in the restructuration and liquidation of several companies' workers like: Sears Roebuck, Radiomovil Dipsa (Telcel), Hidalgo-MetLife Insurance, Grupo Desc, Sección Amarilla (Yellow Pages), and the Mexican Stock Exchange.
Even though participation by the private sector in the energy sector, gas, petrochemical and financing of recent projects in Mexico is fairly recent, the firm has given assessment to several foreign companies regarding those sectors inside their bidding processes, working out corporate labor strategies, as well as handling their relationship with the Electricians of the Republic of Mexico Union (SUTERM), and the negotiation of their collective contracts.
Likewise, the firm has given assessment to the General Office of Petróleos Mexicanos collaborating on the business deal of the working collective contract with the Oil Union and the development of the new basis for the modernization process of labor relationships in the company.
In the aviation industry, the firm has represented several airlines such as: Aerovías de México, S.A. de C.V., (Aeroméxico), Transportes Aeromar, S.A. de C.V., Aerolitoral y Aeromexpress, working on their negotiations with pilot unions, flight attendants, and ground personnel.
We´ve participated in strategy consultations, corporate and work related, to create new low-price airlines, such as "Vuela", "Aerobus", "Gol", etc.
For twenty years, Francisco Sánchez y García Asociados S.C. has been assessing and representing the conglomerate of branch offices controlled by Grupo Carso, S.A. de C.V.
The office is an external adviser to Teléfonos de México, S.A. de C.V., Radiomóvil Dipsa, S.A. de C.V., (Telcel), Anuncios en Directorios, S.A. de C.V. (Yellow Pages), that also handles the individual and collective trials of these companies, actively participating in the collective negotiations with several unions.
Likewise, it represents the branch offices that make up Grupo Financiero Inbursa, S.A. de C.V., including, among others: Seguros Inbursa, Fianzas Guardiana Inbursa, S.A. de C.V., Banco Inbursa, Inversora Bursátil, Casa de Bolsa, Afore Inbursa, Siefore Inbursa, S.A. de C.V. and Patrimonial Inbursa, S.A. de C.V.
Inside the commercial and industrial areas of Grupo Carso, the firm gives assessment to several companies, among these are stand outs like Sears Roebuck, Grupo Frisco and their branch offices, Grupo Nacobre, Grupo Condumex, Grupo Alumino, etc.
The firm represents great development companies and a chain of foreign hotels with recent participation in Mexico. We give assessment to government agencies of the Secretary of Tourism about labor affairs, in individual and collective, and corporate labor strategy. (See details below.)
One of the most important activities that this office does is to help public assistance companies and to be a constant participant in altruist movements with different organizations like: Mexican Association Pro Mentally Handicapped Children, A.C., Techo, Educación y Ayuda, A.C., FRANSAC-Residencia Mater San José and the National Transplant Fund (FUNAT).
